To All Hopkins Center Families and Friends:
I hope all of our families and friends are well, and hopefully, we have gotten through the worse of the pandemic. On behalf of Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, we would like to give a heartfelt thank you to our Hopkins Center families- for your letter of support, your phone calls and words of encouragement urging us to continue on, and the goodies you have been sending the staff. You have no idea how much those small sentiments were appreciated during that most difficult and challenging time our industry has ever encountered.
As you all know, Nursing Homes have been authorized to begin the reopening process for visitation, provided that, the facility meet the safety criteria in conjunction with the July 10, 2020 NYSDOH Healthcare advisory on skilled nursing facility visitation. We are currently working on this process in an expeditious and strategic manner so that transition regarding the visitation process will be safe and smooth for all of our residents and families. We will announce the date of our reopening as soon as we meet the NYSDOH guidelines for resumption of visitation. Our tentative schedule would be by mid- August of 2020. In the interim, we will continue to schedule our video chatting with Brigida.
I have attached a copy of the policy / safety plan and fact sheet to this email to keep you informed in regard to the guidelines, both for visitors and HCRHC personnel, to facilitate a safe and smooth transition with the visitation process at Hopkins Center.
We are all looking forward to seeing you once again- all of Hopkins Center families.
Stay safe and be well.
